			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Understanding the background literature is essential for any researcher or public health practitioner. Today, with all the hype on the potential of <a title="Wikipedia mHealth" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mhealth" target="_blank">mhealth,</a> there&#8217;s a lot of noise and few people really understand the technical, clinical, and societal implications of mobiles; especially when according to the ITU, the ratio of mobiles to people around the world is 1:6, a figure difficult to ignore when planning effective public health interventions.[1]</p>
<p>I believe the two following reports are a wonderful introduction to the subject. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.</p>
